Near the top of 2018 Yasiin Bey teased that new music between him and Talib Kweli — as Black Star — was “coming soon.”

“New Black Star with Madlib,” the former Mos Def exclaimed. “”All Madlib, all day.”

Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, Yasiin and Talib will reunite for several dates in 2018 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their seminal — and only — album, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, and they have been announced as the headliners for the 2018 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.

The two will close out the Kings County-based, six-day annual celebration, which will include conferences, parties and more. More performers will be announced ahead of the festival, which goes down July 14th.
