Although she’s been writing and recording music (and spoken word) for a few years now, Chika finally caught the ears of many when she dug into Kanye West’s twisted way of thinking with some surefire rhymes over his “Jesus Walks” instrumental. Released on Twitter, the clip has circulated in just about every circle you can imagine.
Now, with those eyes and ears still locked in, Funk Flex invited the Bama-bred, New York-fed artist up to the studio to have her take part in his freestyle series.
Rocking the same passion and a “flow that’ll make an Atheist believe in X-mas,” Chika proceeds to give Miguel “Come Through and Chill” a few minutes of work.
