Bassist and composer Brady Watt has worked with everyone from Curren$y and Murs to Talib Kweli and Statik Selektah, and is a member of DJ Premier‘s The Badder Band. Following his 2015 solo album, LIFETRONICS, Watt plans to release another body of work sometime this year.
After dropping his first single, “Black & White” with Ro James and Topaz Jones, Watt returns with the Dru Oliver– and Fat Tony-guested “BEEN DOWN” (as well as a tongue-in-cheeky new moniker, the Bass God.
“BEEN DOWN is just that; being down (no matter what)!” Watt says. “But, you can be loyal to someone for a long time and find out the real truth is that they are bringing you down. Sometimes you have to move on; even though it hurts incredibly bad. I was getting over a situation like this when we recorded this track.”
