Mac Miller has died from an apparent overdose.
According to TMZ, Mac was found Friday (9/7) afternoon at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Over the years, Miller has struggled with substance abuse. In May, following a public breakup with Ariana Grande, he wrapped his G-Wagon around a light pole before fleeing the scene. He was later arrested on DUI charges.
Recently, things seemed to be turning around. Last month, it felt like he was moving in the right direction with his Swimming album. You never know, though.
“Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” his family said in a statement. “He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”
RIP, Malcolm. You will be missed.
Rest In Peace to the great soul Mac Miller
