Blackness!

Earlier this week, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh reunited to release the first Little Brother album in nearly a decade with May the Lord Watch.

To cap off the eventful week, the duo is back with the project’s first video, “Black Magic (Make it Better),” dedicated to the late Percy Miracles.

Produced by Grammy award-winning producer Focus… (who snapped multiple times on the album) and featuring guest vocals from Madison McFerrin, the song is “a love letter to the beauty and resilience of Black people,” says Phonte. “It’s a visual representation of me and Pooh’s renewed brotherhood.”

Shot in Durham, North Carolina (they’re first time doing so), Pooh adds, “we wrote ‘Black Magic’ to inspire. No matter your personal struggle or where you are starting from in life, waking up gives you another shot at being better than you were the day before. We wanted a visual that felt organic and represented us and showed love to the city that birthed Little Brother.”
