Fresh off the release of their May the Lord Watch album, Little Brother have been making the media rounds. And for good reason, too: Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh have a lot to say – and we, the fans, have been waiting.
The interview I was most hype for was A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal. Because, let’s be real (heh), most of the other outlets were going to focus on 9th Wonder’s “absence” and other nonsense not worth mentioning.
That’s not the case with ItsTheReal. Instead, the Rosenthal brothers, like they always do, let the artists share their story without forcing drama.
Inviting LB to their Upper West Side residence, the foursome sat down to celebrate the reunion, discuss the album, and dig into their lives–including the shine and flaws of their first iteration and the dynamics of the break-up. They discuss how the tragic death of Phife Dawg was the initial force that helped get them to start reconnecting. They also talk legacy, influence, the power behind the music they’re making today, and much more.
