Sham1016 – “Searchin’ 4 The Real” (Video)

blame it on Meka October 3, 2019

I’d actually been meaning to write about this for a while, but… life happens.

Either way, please welcome back Sham1016 to the DopeHouse. Having been featured on Airplane James’ “FWU,” the South Central Los Angeles (not South Los Angeles, get the hell on with that label) reared artist recently dropped his EP FADE during the warmer months of the year.

“I wanted to make sure that when you heard this EP, you got a real idea of who I am as a person, as an artist,” he said about FADE. “That’s why it’s different sounds that makes one overall sound. You gon’ have your street sh*t where I’m talking about the dead homies and the homies/family members locked up because that’s what I go through in real life but at the same time, some real introspective artistic sh*t because I understand music and art. I’m giving you a human perspective, as a person that walked different paths of life and seen and experienced a lot of sh*t both good and bad. Plus I wanted to just make some player sh*t, it’s already enough dudes playing tough”.

One of the project’s highlights is the Mary J Blige-sampling lead single, “Searchin’ 4 The Real.” Check out the video, as well as the album, below.
