While it’s commonplace for rappers to have shoe deals (Pharrell and Kanye West with Adidas, Travis Scott with Nike, and 2 Chainz with Versace are examples), you can now add J. Cole to the mix.
Joining Big Sean and the late Nipsey Hussle, Cole has joined Puma’s growing stable of artists. He made the introduction with a rather interesting advert, dubbed “The DREAMER.” With a slowed-down version of Labi Siffre’s “My Song” (aka, the track Kanye sampled for “I Wonder“) playing throughout, the clip focuses on Cole’s basketball days and even includes home videos of a young Jermaine hooping (and traveling. And double-dribbling. But, semantics!).
