In just a matter of two years, Aminé went from potential one-hit-wonder, thanks to the summer smash of a hit, “Caroline,” to solidified young hip-hop act driven by the success of his first two albums, Good For You and ONEPOINTFIVE.
After a rather silent 2019, Aminé is back and in action with his new single, “Shimmy.” The braggadocios track sees the Portland act giving a heavy nod to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “I Like It Raw” and “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.” Claiming this year as his own, Aminé pairs a new video to the song, one that finds him taking over his hometown.
