As a Black man, I’ve had the unfortunate displeasure of having numerous run-ins with the police. So, the past few weeks of racially-motivated murders at the hands of White people (not just police officers)–compounded with the COVID pandemic and my own terrible experiences–it’s just… I’ve gone numb for the most part.
I’m not the only one, either, and some of those people can put those sentiments into words way better than I’m capable of at the moment. Terrace Martin, Denzel Curry, Daylyt, Kamasi Washington and G Perico have all joined forces on a powerful new single, “PIG FEET.”
“Someone asked how do I feel? I told them hurt, fearless, angry, aware and fully ready to protect me, my family and my people at all cost,” Terrace says. “I got together with a few Black men that felt the same way.”
