Prior to this whole coronavirus mess, Alicia Keys planned to release her seventh album, ALICIA on May 15. However, as it’s done to pretty much all things in life, the coronavirus arrived and threw a wrench in the plans. Still moving ahead, Alicia stopped by NPR’s Tiny Desk for a soulful performance.

Performing previously-released singles from the upcoming album, “Show Me Love” and “Underdog,” Alicia also dug into her catalog to play her classic record, “Fallin’.” Giving fans a preview of what’s to come on her upcoming album, she also debuted a new song, “Gramercy Park.” Before playing the song, she explained the song and its meaning.

“It’s on the Alicia album, and I love what this songs means… A lot of what I’ve been thinking about on my own personal journey is how much we contort and conform and adjust ourselves all the time… with the best of intentions, by the way! It’s from the most beautiful place.”
