Whereas “surprise “album drops and less-than-30-minute projects were the wave in 2018 and 2019, the “let’s throw more songs on it and call it a” deluxe album is the flavor of 2020.
The latest recipient is the late Pop Smoke, via his deluxe edition of his debut album Shoot for The Stars Aim For The Moon. Released on the day of what would have been the late rapper’s 21st birthday, this version comes with fifteen more songs.
(It would have made more sense to drop this as another album, but that’s just me.)
The likes of Burna Boy, Jamie Foxx, Davido, Fivio Foreign, Gunna, Young Thug and more appear on this. The track “Paranoia” also appear on it, which caused a rift between Pusha T and Thugger recently.
