The follow-up to his first post-prison project We Know The Truth, Drakeo The Ruler has released his second mixtape in three months The Truth Hurts.
Whereas its predecessor was crafted during his time behind bars and recorded in his first 10 days of being released, The Truth Hurts has Drakeo speaking his mind after spending 34 months behind bars during a controversial incarceration that ended with a plea deal. “I think about everything that I have gone through, and I’m motivated never to go back to jail,” Drakeo says. “It’s been fun. I’m dealing with cars, jewelry—all the stuff I imagined doing while I was in jail and couldn’t do. Now I’ve got a song with Drake.”
That song, “Talk To Me,” highlights a 17-song release that also features the likes of Don Toliver, Icewear Vezzo, and The Stinc Team (Ralfy the Plugand the late Ketchy the Great). Stream The Truth Hurts below.
