A while back on Twitter, someone lightheartedly mentioned that Cardi B has been on her “André 3000 wave” where — instead of making an album (her sole album at the time of this piece, Invasion Of Privacy, dropped back in 2018) she’s just been making guest appearances and doing her thing every time. It’s a bit hard to disagree with that, too, what with her spazzing on tracks from GloRilla, Latto, Kay Flock, and Lil Durk as examples since 2022.
Chicago rising talent FendiDa Rappa is the next up, as Cardi joins her on the update to her viral buzzer “Point Me 2.” THis is the latest in her growing string of collaborations with women musicians, whether it’s with Normani, Lizzo, Summer Walker and SZA, or — of course — Megan Thee Stallion.
