Lil’ ILL and Filth-E, collectively known as the Ghost Kidz, are the first artists to be signed by Superplastic Records, and are distributed by Virgin Music.
They also aren’t real people. (Hopefully) more Gorillaz than (ugh) FN Meka, the Ghost Kidz are a 3D-animated hip hop duo voiced by “prominent hip hop figures who have chosen to remain anonymous for the time being.” Their creation, allegedly, “involved a collaboration with a committee of hip hop legends, ensuring a promising future for the project with their collective expertise.”
Sounds like they learned from the FN Meka mess, but still. *keeps one eyebrow raised in skepticism*
Either way, Vince Staples joins the “duo” on their latest track, “Goin’ Off.”
