This past June 30th marked the 25th anniversary of Spike Lee’s influential film (the movie has since been deemed “culturally significant” by the U.S. Library of Congress, and is currently in the National Film Registry), so Spike decided to throw a mammoth block party in Brooklyn to celebrate its release and impact. When the likes of Yasiin Bey, Dave Chappelle, Erykah Badu and Wesley Snipes show up while Public Enemy perform, this was something nobody in the entire borough of Brooklyn should have missed.
