Now, here’s someone I’ve not heard from in a while. You may not have heard much from a straight-out musical standpoint by Chicago eclectic Nikki Lynette, but her works have landed on a variety of television spots, commercials and much more, as well as for other musicians (read: ghost-writing). Lynette is now prepping her long-in-the-works new project, Respect My Disrespect, which will features production from the likes of Da Internz, Oh Hush!, Zeke MacUmber and Nikki herself. Listen to the first offering below, which has Nikki baring her soul in a way that’s rarely heard.
