Like Lil Wayne did for him (you know, before all that weird-on-weird rap beef took place), it appears that Young Thug is now inspiring a legion of aspiring rappers to tap into their own inner oddity. Atlanta-based rapper Eearz is Mike WiLL Made It‘s newest Ear Drummer Records signee following the likes of Two-9 and Rae Sremmurd, and their union has produced his debut single “Work Ya Muscle” (co-produced by 30 Roc of The Drumatics). Earz is clearly inspired by Thugger Thugger, as throughout the song he is twisting and contorting his vocals while switching between child-like squeaks and hyper-aggressive barks. But with Mike WiLL in his corner, he is determined to forge his own path.
