Pool Cosby is a trio of musicians from Brooklyn who make calming, sample-based electronic music. Their newest song, “A Poem Is A Hustle,” features the legendary Raekwon, as he remembers imagery and life lessons from childhood.
“I was taught by the OGs. They told me, they said, ‘yo, number one — don’t ever give up. Never give up, man. Number two, love the people that love you, man. And don’t love more than you supposed to,'” the Chef preaches on the single.
Raekwon often expands on his days hustling in the streets, but he used the calming production, which is split in two parts on the song, to reflect rather on than reiterate his younger days.
“A Poem Is A Hustle” will land on Pool Cosby’s Blind Gold album out next year.
