Twenty-five years ago, one of the greatest New York hip hop albums was released: Mobb Deep‘s sophomore album The Infamous (which some, light-heartedly, referring to it as their “true” debut LP). To celebrate the classic occasion, the late Prodigy and surviving member Havoc — along with Sony Music — have released an ‘Expanded 25th Anniversary’ edition.
As well as a remastered version of the original project, there are a pair of “Infamous Sessions” tracks which were cut from the album as well as the original “Shook Ones, Part I” (which was the group’s debut single in 1994). A vinyl version of this project is slated to arrive later in 2020.
