Not all collaborative albums work. Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of them fail to live up to the hype. But something tells me that is not the case with eLZhi and Georgia Anne Muldrow and their new album, Zhigeist. Two masters of their craft joining forces in the name of music, and music alone? It’s a beautiful thing.
“Working with Georgia was a collage of good vibes, mastery and synesthesia,” eLZhi says. “I dabbled in different textures of techniques over her vast and limitless imagination. The end result was a mixture of what we both bring to the table musically. Overall we hope that you find a good time, a personal connection or a study guide in careful craftsmanship.”
After taking us to “Strangeland” on the album’s first single, the Detroit emcee and multi-talented LA musician have now released the entirety of their creation – gifting us with 11 tracks in total.
