UPDATE (9/21): Drake and Future’s What A Time To Be Alive is available now!

Original post…

If there’s one thing Aubrey is truly bad at doing? It’s keeping a secret.

Undoubtedly, the two biggest show-runners in hip hop today have been Drake and Future. After OVO affiliate OB O’Brien – as well as Power 105’s The Breakfast Club – kick-started a myriad of rumors a few weeks ago, in a fashion similar to when Toronto Raptors’ guard DeMar DeRozan spilled the beans about If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, on their radio show, virtually everything from fake tracklistings to fake artwork to probably a fake recipe for the cure for cancer sprang out of the woodwork. Drake and Future only fueled those rumors as well by dropping a variety of pictures of the two in the studio as well:

Finally, Drake formally introduced the project – now titled What A Time To Be Alive – on his Instagram page, with Future offering up this brief video preview on his own respective page.

As if everybody and their respective mothers weren’t blasting either “Hotline Bling” or Dirty Sprite 2 out of their respective speakers, expect the reign of Champagne Papi and Futche to continue well throughout the remainder of 2015.

As such, there will be a special Sunday episode of OVO Sound Radio, where Drake promised to premiere What A Time To Be Alive.

What may happen tonight during the show nobody but the OVO and Freeband crew knows, but the world will be aware soon enough. We’ll have updates throughout the show. Stay tuned.

Head Apple Music to listen to Beats1 Radio.

UPDATE (6:05 p.m.): All quiet so far, as Drake kicks off the show with a mix. I’m sure we’ll be tuning in for at least a half an hour before we hear anything from the LP.

UPDATE (6:19 p.m.): Trap music is ruling the radio right now. 2 Chainz, SAS and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Blasé” w/ Future & Rae Sremmurd have played so far.

UPDATE (6:21 p.m.): A chopped-and-screwed “Hotline Bling” is playing right now. Not too sure Sauce Walka, who dissed Drake for using the Southern sound, will be happy about this one.

UPDATE (6:26 p.m.)“When you get around Future, it’s like a vortex. That guy could out-work anybody right now,” Drake said. He added that they started making this project six days ago. Ernest Baker texted Drake “what a time to be alive” while they were making the tape, and that’s how they came up with the name.

UPDATE (6:29 p.m.): The first track is called “Digital Dash” followed by “Big Rings.” Metro Boomin’ produced both songs so far.

UPDATE (6:36 p.m.): “Big Rings” is gonna be a damn hit. Now comes “Live From the Gutter.”

UPDATE (6:44 p.m.): Dudes getting into their feelings now with “Diamonds Dancing” and continue on “Scholarships.” Time to make the money.

UPDATE (6:48 p.m.): Sic songs in, “Plastic Bag” is the first song to sound like a Drake joint.

UPDATE (6:51 p.m.): That didn’t last long. Back to Future’s sound on “I’m the Plug.”

UPDATE (6:53 p.m.): WE HAVE THE TRACK LIST.

Looks like we only have four more to go as “Change Locations” is playing now.

UPDATE (7:06 p.m.): The final joint, “30 for 30 Freestyle,” is riding now… They’ll probably run the whole project back. What A Time To Be Alive is just over 40 minutes long total.

UPDATE: Listen to episode 6 of OVO Sound Radio in its entirety.
