Using a sample of Yasiin Bey‘s recent freestyle to the tune of “No More Parties In LA” to bookend a freestyle, Wara From The NBHD gives the artist formerly known as Mos Def’s “May-December” a spin on a new freestyle called “Peace To All Fear Of None” — a reference to Bey’s words from his retirement announcement.
Throughout an emcee’s life, he or she may feel displaced in their field due to a lack of continuous commercial support due to other, err, rappers who don’t care for the craft as much as they do. Wara, who feels is an extension of Mos Def and other true emcees, acknowledges he’s a bit different than the common profit-seeking rapper.
