So on one late-night show (The Late Show), we had Desiigner making his brash, energetic television debut, and on its competitor (The Tonight Show), we had another up-and-coming talent make an appearance on late-night for the first time.
Last night, Gallant stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s show to perform “Weight In Gold.” Though the song almost a year old at this point, the DMV native performed it in the push of his recently released Ology LP. It doesn’t matter how recent this song came out, though — Gallant tore this performance apart. For the last half, he pranced around the stage with erratic energy a la Mick Jagger, finishing the tune singing in a ridiculous falsetto.
