A couple months back, LA Reid leaked the news A Tribe Called Quest planned to release one more album, even with Phife Dawg’s passing in March.

“It’s a brand new album that they recorded. Before Phife passed away,” Reid told the Rap Radar podcast.

Well, it seems the Epic Records CEO was telling the truth, as A Tribe Called Quest took to Twitter to announce their next and final album will drop November 11.

Q-Tip, Jarobi White and Ali Shaheed Muhammad shared the news over a string of notes, where they described the spark that came from performing on The Tonight Show with The Roots in 2015. And even though Phife passed while the album was being recorded, “he left us with the blueprint of what to do,” the note said.

Busta Rhymes and Consequence were involved in the making of the project, too.

They closed the note with, “And on November 11, 2016, we will complete our Paths of Rhythm,” alluding to the completion of their discography, which started with People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.
