While she’s deft at crafting songs reminiscent of the socially conscious gems of the past, Rapsody also isn’t afraid to get her brag on.
That side is put on full display on her latest song, “Mad.” Produced by The Soul Council’s Eric G, the Solange-sampling track finds Raps aiming at those verklempt that she counts President Obama as a fan or that she’s rapping over an instrumental from “the boss man’s wife’s sister” with the greatest of ease.
