After his third album, Wins And Losses, debuting near the top of the Billboard charts in its first week, it’s safe to say that Meek Mill took home a W for that accomplishment. Heading to Stadium Goods in NYC in this episode of Sneaker Shopping, he takes home a couple J’s.
While with Joe La Puma, Meek opened up on his appreciation for NBA Hall Of Famer Allen Iverson, his (now-) former deal with PUMA, how sneakers motivated him as a youth.
“[Iverson] was my favorite player growing up,” Meek said. “We used to be on the corner like, ‘Man, I wonder what Allen Iverson is doing right now. He’s probably with 20 chicks in Miami somewhere.’ It was definitely a dream to meet A.I. and be around him and be part of his life.”
In the end, Meek cops nearly $4,000 worth of Jordan’s. A.I. did that.
