2017 has been a monumental year for the late Tupac Shakur. The legend was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and his long-in-the-works biopic was finally released (it is now available on Blu-ray and all digital platforms).
Earlier this year the USA Network announced today that it has ordered for the series Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.. Tabbed as a “true crime drama” (think 2016’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX), the first season will document “the dual police investigations into the controversial murders of two of the rap industry’s most legendary players.”
A trailer for the series has now released. Marcc Rose, who previously portrayed ‘Pac in the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, will reprise the character in Unsolved, while Biggie Smalls will be portrayed by newcomer Wavyy Jonez. Luke James (The New Edition Story), Letoya Luckett, Josh Duhamel, Jimmi Simpson, and Bokeem Woodbine will co-star.
The series is set to debut sometime in 2018. The trailer can be seen below.
