With all of the back-and-forths going on with rappers – Ghostface Killah and Action Bronson, Meek Mill and Drake, Safaree and #OMEEKA – ironically the one person who is connected to nearly all of it, Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon-style, is Birdman. With his own fair share of problems with Lil Wayne, he sat down with Angie Martinez for a rather lengthy interview where he opened up on everything: Wayne’s rift with Young Thug, the shooting of Wayne’s tour bus that led to an indictment that he and Thugger are named in, the drinks-throwing incident at LiV on Sundays, his lawsuit against Wayne and TIDAL and everything in between.

Some choice quotes:

On Wayne kick-staring everything with his now-infamous Twitter rant:
While he really didn’t go into too much detail about it, Baby did say that was shocked at it. “I’m going to wait for the proper time to get together, and we going to do that,” he responded.

On Nicki Minaj and Drake, and whether or not they’ll remain on the label:
“They’re not going anywhere. Both of them are very happy. I got much respect for both of them.”

On Lil Wayne’s bus being shot, and the subsequent indictment kinda-sorta implicating he and Young Thug:
“That’s the craziest sh*t I heard in my life. My children mean the world to me. There is no indictment on me.”

On if he speaks to Wayne these days:
Baby says that the two see each other in the studio nearly every day, however the two don’t speak (naturally).
