Singer-songwriter (and Professional Lucid Dreamer) Kay Cola has been a mainstay at the DopeHouse for many years now, with her silky smooth and alluring songs providing a refreshing alternative to the sometimes overbearing hardness of rap or hyper-sexualized nature of today’s R&B. Releasing her latest project For The Dreamers during the summer 2015, the project contained features from the likes of !LLmind, Skyzoo, Kreesha Turner and IAMSU! among others.
2DopeBoyz is now presenting the visual treatment for the Turner- (and Jon Famous-) guested “The Youth.” With the famous words of Bob Marley setting the mood, the three belt out their uplifting lyrics throughout the darkness of Los Angeles’ infamous alleyways. The idea is simple: who do you do it for? In Kay, Kreesha and Jon’s case, they endure the struggle so that the future generations do not have to.
