There’s a reason J. Cole is one of the most beloved emcees in the game—his genuine connection with fans.
Before the release of 2014 Forrest Hills Drive, Cole visited fans’ homes to preview the album in person. From there, he kept his word and attended a fan’s graduation. And now, the Fayetteville, NC native is back in his hometown as he visits another fan, Tae Stackhouse, who is currently battling cancer.
The connection was made after Tae’s mother and aunt reached out to the Dreamville crew, revealing Cole was his favorite artist.
