K-Def – “Strawberry Lemonade” f. Blu, Damu the Fudgemunk & Kunal

blame it on JES7 January 24, 2016

We are exactly 5 days away from the incomparable K-Def‘s release of not one, but two albums: The Unpredictable Gemini and The Way It Was.

So far, the former has given us the heatrock titled “Gotta Get Away” featuring D.I.T.C. and Showbiz partner-in-rhyme’s A.G. and Damu The Fudgemunk, while the latter blessed us with “The Boys” featuring the one-and-only Blu.

With that Jan. 29th release date creeping up, Kevin Hansford lets loose another certified sure shot, “Strawberry Lemonade.” With its screaming, funky piano loop that sounds straight out of a Marley Marl jam session, circa the Juice Crew’s “The Symphony” days – Blu (once again), Damu and newcomer Kunal step into the limelight to get busy, rock the break and cold rock a party like it’s 1988.

Hit that play button below, throw on your Kangol, best pair of Adidas and your gold rope chain and relive the original golden era. Then head over to REDEF Records and pre-order The Way It Was on 12″ blue vinyl.
