Here’s some great news for your Mother’s Day hip hoppers.

Guess who will be back in 2016: MadGibbs, the duo of Freddie Gibbs and Madlib. During his recent Red Bull Music Academy talk in New York City, Madlib revealed that he and Freddie Gibbs will drop a new album in the future, following up their excellent 2014 project (Cocaine) Piñata code-named Bandana. Gibbs also echoed the announcement with a tweet:

During his Red Bull talk, Madlib also revealed that some of the beats he had given to Kanye West for The Life of Pablo (you know, from those beat CDs he gave ‘Ye, one of which became “No More Parties In LA“) will now be used by Gibbs. Suffice to say, we can’t wait for this to drop.
