Shortly before the release of YG‘s anticipated sophomore album, Still Brazy, VICELAND aired a special episode of Noisey, YG And The Therapist, in which the rapper sat down with psychologist Siri Sat Nam Singh to open up about the after-effects from his 2015 shooting.

After revealing an extended clip in which he went into detail about the night he was shot, YG goes on to reveal its traumatic repercussions: a deep sense of paranoia, distrust of people, relative unhappiness, and at one point wondering if the shooters — who, to this day, he does not know their identities — could have been tied to DJ Mustard, as at the time the two were not speaking to each other. While its hard to determine if the sessions were a success — there were only two sessions, and they were taped to be shown on television instead of being a private matter — it was a relatively fascinating watch nonetheless. Watch it below.
