Emmy Award nominations were announced this morning, and Beyoncé racked up four nominations for LEMONADE — her visual album/film that debuted on HBO in April and one of the best albums of the year.
The four categories she and LEMONADE were nominated for are: Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special (yes, Beyoncé got a directing credit), Outstanding Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing For A Variety Production, and Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event, or Award Special.
The “variety” category includes shows like comedy specials, sketch comedy, late-night talk shows and things of that nature.
