The roll out of Sampha’s new album — Process — has been slow, but it’ll all be worth it once the full project is out.
Back in May, the British signer returned with “Timmy’s Prayer” and debuted “Plastic 100ºC” a month later. (He landed on Kanye’s updated The Life Of Pablo and Frank Ocean’s Endless in the meantime, too.) Now two months removed from any noise surrounding the project, Sampha delivers a new single called “Blood On Me.”
His most vibrant and uptempo performance yet, Sampha shies away from his piano-based hymnals on “Blood On Me” for a grand, melodic effort as he sings about demons smelling the singer’s wounds and weaknesses.
Press play on the song, which I’m sure will make an effort to make waves on the radio, below.
