A year ago to the day, King Louie was involved in a near fatal drive-by shooting in Chicago. Fortunately, the Chicago native is a damn beast, and being shot multiple times (including one in the dome) wasn’t enough to end his life.
Fresh off assisting Jeremih and Chance the Rapper on their Merry Christmas Lil Mama mixtape, Louie caps off the year with T.O.N.Y. 2 — the anticipated follow-up to 2014’s OG project.
“That shot to the head got me spiritual,” Louie spits on the intro. “God on Earth, and my verses are lyrical/ Ride for the guys, f*ck the other side/ Caught him with his guy, double homicide/ N*gga, I ain’t die, cause I didn’t wanna die.” He even takes it a step further on the following track, “Sloppy Hitta.”
Locked in at 15 tracks, T.O.N.Y. 2 features production from BlockOnDaTrakk, Mr. Incredible, Jack Flash, Bonafied Beatz (who put a new-age spin on Black Rob’s “Whoa”), Bezzel Beats, Mike Hurst, and more.
