Normally pegged as the “festival for your uncles, aunts and much older cousins,” the ESSENCE Fest has been a summer staple in New Orleans for years. Focusing more on the artists our parents grew up listening to, they are attempting to bridge that generational gap by inviting some of today’s popular artists to share the stage with living legends.
With Diana Ross making her first appearance at the event, ESSENCE Fest has announced that Chance The Rapper will also headline, joining the likes of Solange, Mary J. Blige, BJ The Chicago Kid, Jhené Aiko, John Legend, Chaka Khan, Ari Lennox, Remy Ma and many more. Master P is even scheduled to reunite his No Limit Soldiers for a special set as well.
Taking place at the SuperDome from June 30th to July 2nd, tickets start as low as $126 for the entire three-day weekend and are available now.
