Passport Rav – “Surrender”

blame it on JES7 May 23, 2017

Passport (aka Rav.P) has stayed fair quiet for the majority of 2017, outside of releasing “Fanciest Negro In Bushwick” and “Other Tide” with Napoleon Da Legend.

As the month of May winds down, the New York rapper has decided to join the rest of the world in observing Mental Health Awareness Month, a sensitive subject which as of late, has been on everyone’s minds. “Seems as if the chaotic confusion of today is pushing people into a deeper space of consciousness or completely off the edge of mental stability,” Passport Rav says in a press statement.

On “Surrender,” Rav encourages anyone who may be dealing with heavy emotions to “embrace it,” quoting spiritual author Eckhart Tolle:

Do not resist the pain, allow it to be there. Surrender to the grief, despair, fear, loneliness or whatever form the suffering takes. Witness it without labeling it mentally. Embrace it. See how the miracle of surrender transforms deep suffering into deep peace…

Listen below. Those residing in London can catch Rav performing at Box Park in Croydon on June 9th.
