Shabazz Palaces – “Julian’s Dream”

Shabazz Palaces are going back and forth releasing music from their two upcoming albums, Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star and Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machine.

First came “Shine A Light,” which will land on the former, then came “30 Clip Extension,” which will land on the latter. Then two weeks ago, Ish and Baba released their Thundercat collab, “Since C.A.Y.A.” from Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star. And here we are again with a new song, “Julian’s Dream (ode to a bad),” and wouldn’t you know it, we’re back to Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machine.

With both albums dropping on the same day (July 14), it isn’t so much a concern as to which songs we get first but rather keeping track of the narratives. But that’s what full album releases are for.

Listen to “Julian’s Dream (ode to a bad),” which features The Shogun Shot, below.
