There’s only one reason why DJ Khaled is so insistent on releasing music at almost the crack of dawn: Asahd Tuck Khaled.
See, Asahd is not the usual “A&R” or executive producer, not in the slightest. Asahd is a baby, and babies have the most random sleep patterns. Equal parts hibernation and insomnia, babies wake up and sleep whenever they feel like it. Needless to say, Khaled is more than likely having to drag himself out of bed at six in the morning nearly every day.
In response, he’s releasing music from his forthcoming album Grateful as the sun rises. The latest is “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, the track — produced by Khaled and Nasty Beatmakers (“All I Do Is Win”), and co-written by PARTYNEXTDOOR — is as summer ready as can be. Maybe waking up very early is a good thing.
