Combined Culture Interprets Kendrick Lamar’s “LUST.” As Short Film

Without a doubt, one of 2017’s most talked-about albums is Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. Quickly achieving Platinum status (and then some), there has been a multitude of critiques, think-pieces and the all-important LeBron James cosign, but nary a music video outside of “HUMBLE” and “DNA.”

And, of course, the all-important LeBron James cosign.

However, Combined Culture has reinterpreted one of the DAMN tracks with their own visual, based on K. Dot’s “LUST.” “The [short] film revolves around the life of a stereotypical Black man,” they describe “LUST.” “In him trying to do all of the things that are detrimental to him, he essentially writes his own death wish. Before he can make a change to his ways, it’s too late.”
