Last month, we introduced you to the incredible, dynamic vocal stylings of Portsmouth, Virginia’s Shateish, who released her Nottz-produced single “Hurt Away” featuring Rapsody.
As previously stated, Shateish’s powerful voice channels the un-replicable era of the 60s and 70s, when Stax/Volt battled Motown, and with her new The Re-Awakening EP (produced entirely by Nottz), has her eyes set on paying tribute to soul legend Ruby Johnson.
You surely have heard Shateish’s buttery vocals throughout the past nine years or so, as Shateish has lent her talents on the opening song “The Truth” off Blu and Nottz‘s Titans In the Flesh EP and on Scarface‘s Emeritus (“Still Here“, also produced by Nottz).
