New York-reared musician BOOTS introduced himself in a rather major way: he contributed to Beyoncé‘s self-titled fifth studio album, working on roughly eighty percent of the album. Following his own debut album, AQUΛRIA, in 2015, he last guested on Run The Jewels‘ “2100.”
BOOTS has returned with his first solo offering since his early 2016 release “80075,” “Soon Be Gone.” Keeping in tune with his melodically somber sound, the singer wails “Bless my soul while I separate/Bless my soul while I drain my mind” on the dark track.
