With Flow Riiot impacting at the end of the month, Torii Wolf is back with another taste of her forthcoming album.

In the last two months, we’ve received “Shadows Crawl” and “Big Trouble” with DJ Premier, a remix with Rapsody, “Body” with araabMUZIK, and “Free” with Macklemore. And now, Torii keeps it coming with the Mike Zombie-laced “Pain Killer.”

“‘Pain Killer’ is a very intense record for me emotionally,” Torii told Highsnobiety. “I love the track that Mike Zombie created; his productions are dark and deep and that really resonates with me. I want people to connect with this song on a level of compassion and understanding. Falling in and out of love. The strong similarities to the high you get from being intimate with another person. Co-dependency. Vulnerability. There is space and emotion in this record. I did it in one take, so my raw emotion is immortalized here.”

Sampling Nathan King’s “Gone Away,” Zombie noted this was the first time he got to actually mix a record and the results are pretty great. Check it out below and pre-order Flow Riiot on iTunes before it’s September 29 release.
