Blimes Brixton & Method Man’s Chemistry is Pure On “Hot Damn”

It’s been 25 years since Wu-Tang broke down the doors of the rap game, and yet, Method Man is still ripping it.

Fresh off going back-and-forth with Black Thought during a freestyle session on Sway in the Morning and helping Mathematics put together Wu-Tang’s The Saga Continues album, Tical joins Bay Area native Blimes Brixton on her new single, “Hot Damn.”

“It’s a true honor to work with a legend that provided the soundtrack to so many of my childhood missions of rebellion,” Blimes says. “Meth and I linked up last year in Hollywood on the set of ‘Drop The Mic’ which he hosted and I was brought on as a battle rap coach. I’d heard from a few folks that he was a fan of my battles but honestly didn’t believe it until he was yelling my name across the lot as he walked into the sound stage. He told me that day that he was in my corner and if I ever needed anything – not to hesitate to ask. He’s humble as hell and its taught me a lot about humility.”

Taken off Blimes’ upcoming Castles album, the Lou Too and Cambo-laced joint is dripping in the chemistry the two have built over the past year as they take it from the bar to the Cali streets in a fresh drop-top Buick.
