With his new project Let Love out August 30th, Common is back with a second visual for his single “Hercules” with Swizz Beatz.
Directed by ART and produced by Cole Cook, the video “depicts the song’s message of strength and perseverance in concrete terms: images of police brutality and protests abound as the video’s protagonist receives fatherly counsel from Swizz Beatz. Common plays the role of narrator, cool-headed and direct as he addresses the challenges and rigidity of Black manhood.”
