Following “Black Qualls” from last month, Thundercat returns wiht his upcoming album’s second single, “Dragonball Durag.”
Taking both his love for humor is music and his love for Dragonball Z, Thundercat combines the two on his latest single. With production from himself and Flying Lotus, Thundercat gave a little insight into his inspiration behind the song.
“I have a Dragon Ball tattoo… it runs everything. There is a saying that Dragon Ball is life… The durag is a superpower, to turn your swag on… it does something, it changes you. If you have one in the wardrobe, think about wearing it tonight, and it may pop off because you never know what’s going to happen.”
