It’s been three years since Aminé released an album (2017’s Good For You). Yes, he dropped OnePointFive in 2018, but according to the the Portland artist, it was “just a placeholder, because [he] was tired of working on his next album.” Which we now know is called Limbo, dropping August 7th.

Having already shared the first two singles, “Riri” and “Shimmy,” Aminé keeps things rolling with single number three: a collaboration with Young Thug called “Compensating,” which came to life after producer T-Minus made the connection happen.

“I was in Toronto working with T-Minus on this song,” Aminé told Apple Music. “I put the hook together and then Minus told me he had a session with Thug and he thought that we would mesh well together on this song. And he was the one who kind of quarterbacked the whole thing.”
