Curren$y & Alchemist Reunite for ‘Continuance’ Album

Spitta and Uncle Al are back at it.

When it comes to collaborative projects, Curren$y and Alchemist are two of the most prolific. With at least a few dozen between their respective discographies, the two have also teamed up for two themselves: 2011’s Covert Coup and 2016’s The Carrolton Heist. Freddie Gibbs also joined the duo on 2018’s FETTI.

Now, with Curren$y fresh off projects with Ski Beatz and Harry Fraud (and a handful of other producers) and Alchemist fresh off a pair of projects with Boldy James (Bo Jackson and Super Tecmo Bo), the two reunite for their third full-length project, Continuance – which, according to Spitta, is full of “Covert Coup level music.”

“This project I have with [Alchemist] is in the same vein [of Covert Coup],” Curren$y said in an interview with Flaunt last year. “I’d never say it’s part two, because that’d be a lot to try and emulate, the way people hold that project dear to them. It’s nostalgic to the year it came out and what was going on in everybody’s lives. To say I’m dropping part two to that is big shoes to fill. My plan really is to create something equally impactful, but a completely different animal.”

Equipped with 13 tracks, including “Half Moon Mornings” and “The Tonight Show,” Continuance has features from Boldy James, Havoc, Wiz Khalifa, Styles P, Babyface Ray, and Larry June.
